Tips for Temps: The Temp Workers' Alliance of Northern New Jersey

The Temp Workers' Alliance of Northern New Jersey, under the leadership of employment consultant Barrie Peterson and affiliated with Seton Hall University's Institute on Work, distributes their "Consumer Guide to Best Practice Temp Agencies of NJ." This is a guide for prospective temps, not for the corporate consumers of agency services; I guess they felt that "workers' guide" sounded a little too lefty for the agencies. I have talked with Mr. Peterson and seen some of the organization's work, and some of the questions on the Red Guide agency report form are adapted with permission from the questions that the Alliance uses. I believe that this guide will be a valuable resource for temps in northern New Jersey.
